I just usually go pick the package up at 8am when the Fedex place opens, I call the previous night and have them hold the package. Works out great. Congrats on the pretty little corn though.

Beautiful corn! I can see why you picked him (or her) As they get older you can sometimes tell the sex by the corn's tail. That's how I sexed my female corn and she was later probed female.
I can't wait to see what this little one will look like all grown up. Keep us updated!

I wouldn't dare at my work! They all know me as "the snake lady" and not all of them are fans of snakes. I'd probably be kicked to the curb if I did that.
I do ask those shipping FedEx to ship to my local hub to hold for pick-up. They get there in the wee hours of the morning, and it's just 2 miles from my house. The hub stays open until 9 pm so I can pick them up at my leisure the next day, and I know they aren't out riding around in a hot (or cold in the winter) truck.
