    Yellow Belly?

I just got this ball python female today, sold to me as a yellow belly. I am terrible and telling them apart but the guy I bought it from is trustworthy. You guys think I did ok or not? Can you tell me what I am looking at to ID it as a yellow belly? Thanks.

    Hi,

When you say the guy is trustworthy do you mean you checked him out on the BOI etc?

The belly shot is washed out... can't tell from that.

but she appears to have the flames.

The only true way to know is to breed her.

No, I mean I have known the guy for a while, face to face, in person. I trust him. I just mainly want to know what I am looking at to tell. He explaned it to me some but I ar not the sharpest guy in the world when it comes to remembering that stuff.

I will try to get better belly shots, but the belly is kinda a milky yellowish color.

    Re: Yellow Belly?

From the pictures you posted, the belly makes me believe that it's not a YB.

I would agree, from what can be seen in your pics it would be a no.

    Re: Yellow Belly?

The coloring and the flames lead me to think that it might be a yellow belly, didn't notice if it has a spot on the head and can't really see the pattern of scales on the edges of the belly. What makes your friend think it's a yellow belly? How was this produced? Was it a yellow belly to normal breeding?

    Re: Yellow Belly?

Here is more of the belly. The head has a lighter spot on it, but not a light circle like I have seen on some. Now, if you do not think it is a yellow belly then if you can, please tell me why, besides for just "the belly don't look it" Rather, what about the belly does not look it? Not trying to be a jerk, just trying to learn, Thanks.
