    Meal worms ok?

Ok about a month ago, I picked up 150 meal worms and put them in a kritter keeper..I fed them every other couple of days and were not taking the best care for them so some of them died and some of them got fed off. Now my question is. My friend came over to help me set up new tubs for new BP's i brought home. When she saw the dragon, She reached into the kritter keeper to look for worms and i told her that there was nothing in it. She picked up a beetle and spazzed out.. and threw it into the dragons tank and she ate it lol. Now my question is. I thought that there was nothing left in there. and now i can find one bettle left. Can that beetle have babies by itself? I have them on crushed and diced oats and im giving it greens, cherries, and a carrot every other day.

could it? yea, i mean if she (if its a she) mated b4 all the others died or were fed off she could lay eggs. odds = very slim

Meal worms aren't a great feeder choice for your dragons. They have a hard outer shell called chitin which is hard for dragons to digest (esp younger dragons). Also, their nutritional content in general is not as healthy as other soft bodied worms (phoenix worms, horn worms) or even superworms.

Nasubi77 is right, mealworms can lead to impaction which can lead to death. If you need more info on your beardie here is the place to go beardeddragon.org
