Exclamation Is this a FAIR trade?

Okay so I know this really cool local breeder and I wan't to execute a trade with him. I'm gonna give him my male spider for a female het red axanthic or he said I could get a female pastel. Would that be fair?

I would say so. Just look at the prices, not to mention, you are trading a male for a female. Not too much has been donw with the Red Axanthics either. Have fun!

Okay guys now look at it this way. How about for a female pastel? Because the het reds are not hatching for another month and a half. And I don't want to wait. So for the female pastel?

A female pastel is worth about $150-$200. In fact I just picked one up today for $130, so I would ask if he has anything to go along with it. Just my opinion though.

If your Spider is an 09, and that Pastel is a good size maybe was hatched in 08 or 07 and is pretty big with nice coloring, I would say go for the Pastel. But keep in mind, Spiders are worth more than Pastels.

If the pastel female isn't an 09, then I would say it's probably a fair trade. Though I think the male spider costs a bit more, ask him to swap you something + the female pastel. Either way, it's all up to you, as you can do more with a female then a male.

I wouldnt trade it for a het red axanthic, unless you like them personally... that morph seems kind of unpopular and hasnt made anything that great AFAIK

Do a search. The het reds and the red axanthics are way cool and make some fabulous combos. "Unpopular"? Only because people haven't played with it much yet.

Check out the het red genetic stripe that Corey Woods hatched out not too long ago.
