It's hard to form generic descriptions of the shedding process of ALL boidae versus ALL pythonidae.
Ball pythons for sure blue-over quite a bit. I have noticed that my carpet python doesn't get as deep an eye color going into shed, compared to ball pythons..
As for BRBs, they are notorious for needing much more humidity than many snakes.. I assume they are pretty particular about needs for a good shed.
And as far as eating goes, I can say my carpet must be like yours. She POUNDS F/T rats HARD, and would eat half her body weight if I let her. However, compare her to BPs which are notorious for having periods of difficult feeding.. and you don't reach a boa vs python concensus.. especially since RTBs are supposed to have pretty strong feeding responses.
