    Butter, lessers have dirty patterns compaired to butters usually.

    a guy is selling them as lessers, he wants $400 for male and $500 for female. is it worth it?

    I dunno, they look like lessers to me. I'm pretty sure he knows what he's selling, but...really, it's up to you. If you think they're worth the money, then buy one! If you don't, then don't.

    They definitely look like lessers to me. We have several. Butters are yellower, hence the name. I've posted a recent lesser hatch below to compare to your picture. This one's pretty similar to yours, but I prefer reduced symmetrical patterns. That's my preference and it's what I'm willing to pay top dollar for.

    The market price for a snake all depends on the characteristics of the animal and what you're willing to pay for those characteristics. They'll all sell eventually, but the key is to find one that makes you say "wow" and target that purchase for whatever you can afford and are willing to part with. If you're not certain, then it may not be worth it. The price this person is asking is standard right now for the market. But you need to do market comparisons to see what you can get for that standard price that makes you happy.
