Re: What kind of ball is this????????????

My little Slim actually just shed herself. The orange on her sides seems more intense than before. also, she's definitely got a different appearance in her face than freddie...thicker pits, bright green/gold eyes and a wider head, not as pointy as freddie's...

sound odd or normal? anyone? lol!

$50 for rare orange ball python is what the ad said but I told him I wanted all 3 he gave them to us for $40 each. I'm not mad about the price the thing that really bugs me is he lied about them. One shed looks like a normal but the coloring is beautiful.

he could have not known any better and just went off of his own assumptions instead of asking and clarifying what they really were (like you did).

I was going to say something else but I forgot...this heat is driving me nuts....ugh....was 110 outside, don't have AC. have ice cubes for all our animals and ice packs wrapped with paper to help cool the bps. they're not at any risk for frost bite or being overcooled, we're checking them regularly to make sure their body temp doesn't drop too low. ugh...it's soooo hot....

Yeah I know I should've done my research a little better but I didn't I'm still happy with them. Just got to get them to chill out. They are very agressive u can't stick your hand in there with out getting bitten 5 or 6 times. It's 110 there God thats hot it's like 70 something here. Just got done building our new snake cage it looks so much better and all our snakes are loving it.

Just remember to get an internal parasite check done on them, if they really were dyed imports, they may have worms.

But yeah, that's a really nice reduced pattern, worth what you paid.

here is a pic after one shed last night
Instead of a hook try covering your hand with a paper towel and just grab him. he may strike but it will bounce off the palm of your hand and he will instantly curl up into a ball. I have had more problems dealing with juvie snakes that bite like crazy and the hook just pissing them off lol. The towel works way better IMO.

Yeah we like the patterns too. I noticed this morning that the one that shed is getting some nice yellow to it with a hint of orange.
