    Re: worried

Well, for right now, raise the temperatures a few degrees in the enclosure to help the snake fight off the infection (if it happens to have RI). When temperatures are low, that lowers the snake's immune system allowing bacteria to enter the body and make the snake become ill. That's why if you raise the temperatures your are also raising the snake's immune system and helping it fight off the infection.

Check for any signs of open mouth breathing, wheezing, popping/clicking noises coming from the nose when the snake breathes, mucus/snot coming out of nose when snake rubs against the wall/glass. Also, you could check for any mucus that's in the snake's mouth and throat.

What are you warm and coolside temps?

You may hear a wheezing sound during shed. Sometimes the skin around the heat pits makes that noise, sorta like a booger stuck in your nose

Is he showing any of the other symptoms for an RI? Excessive yawing, mucus in the mouth?

    Re: worried

Yea, when a snake is in shed like the other's say it will sound like that because of the skin around the nostril.

After the shed if you do start to notice it again, then one thing you can do until your dad gets back is raise the temperatures like Tiff said.
