    TUBS! Hmm..

Well, the more I think about it, the more I think I want to use them. The ONLY reason why I don't want to use them is that when you try to look in them it's all blurry so you can't see how awesome the enclosure looks D: I like the tanks because you can see the enclosure clearly (if you keep the glass clean!!) and you get to see the 'theme' of the enclosure. My BP enclosures have a jungle-ish looking looky look to them.. and my other enclosures for my colubrids are kinda basic-ish. My Dumeril's boa has a nice cage layout.

And if your going to say "Well if it's blurry that will make the snake feel more secure" I could just put a background around my snake tanks (not the front.. the front is awesome..) to make them feel more secure but it really doesn't matter to me because they do just fine. SO, give me the ups and down of both tanks and tubs. That would be nice

That's the main reason I delayed switching to tubs, but it's so easy to maintain humidity and if you get a clearer brand, it's okay. It may not look as high end, but the snakes don't mind tubs or tanks, so...

Fancy, "dolled up" tanks are usually for the pleasure of the keeper and the snake doesn't care about how it looks, as long as it provides their needs and they feel secure.

Tubs are lighter weight, easier to clean, easier to maintain heat and humidity (at least for me they are).

I didn't get my snakes for the decorations, I got them because I love the snakes. Since they spend most of their time in their hides out of view anyway, being able to see them wasn't a big issue for me. If I want to see any of mine, I take them out of their enclosures.

Hmm.. I may just switch over to tubs. Then all my snakes can fit in my room lol. I also got my snakes because I love them, though, I do like showing people (who aren't used to snakes.. like everyone around here where I live) my snakes because they get really amazed. The main reason why I have snakes is because I like to care for them, something about them makes me adore them, and they are EASY TO MAINTAIN! My dogs and cat are SO messy... as well as my turtle. All of them are messy. Snakes are cleaner :] and easy to take care of lol.

    Re: TUBS! Hmm..

My tubs are very clear. They are iris brand and are almost as clear as glass. I can see my snakes and their enclosure just fine.

I used a tank for a while but within 3 months switched to tubs. When it comes to cleaning multiple snake enclosures at a time, you can't beat the convenience of a portable tub.

The only thing nice about tanks is that they look nice. But they just make the cage furniture look nice (with ball pythons that is). Putting a ball python in a display is pretty counter productive. All you end up looking at is the hundred dollar tank + fake plants and how nicely you set it up. You might as well not even have the snake in there .

I suppose you could keep tank setups out but keep all the snakes in tubs, no one would know the difference!

I recently just switched to tubs, ill be making a rack in a couple of days.
I never thought that i would like tubs as much as i do but i love them. I cant believe that i didnt switch earlier. There just easier, plain and simple. I have the sterilite tubs and there not bad. I think that your snakes would be happier in tubs too.
