timor python?

I was reading about these just a little bit and it got me thinking.. Anyone else see more of a resemblance with scrub pythons and other morelia, compared to the snakes in the python genus?

If you're gonna compare to anything, I'd lean more towards Liasis... Out of curiosity, what made you think of this?

I was just looking at the timor python thinking "really, this is classified in the genus 'python'?"
I had thought about liasis as well but for some reason I see a resemblance between scrubs and timors.

have you seen one in person? in person, i really don't think they resemble any other python species... the irradescent, thin looking skin does look a little like a reticulated, or maybe a scrub, but either way i agree that they don't really look like the other species in the genus Python. olive pythons, to me, look like morelia...
