Hey everyone, brand new to the forum. Thanks to BHB for the referral. I have some questions I was hoping you could help me with in reference to breeding ball pythons. It’s something I have thought about for awhile, but never pulled the trigger. I was planning to look into trying to get an albino (have always wanted one) in November/December and work my way into breeding as a hobby and to maybe make a little extra cash. Well recently I ran into an opportunity that I am considering. This would allow me to get 4 balls (2 male, 2 female) that are already breeding age and weight (fems are 1500 and 1600 grams and about 4 years old) for about what it would cost to get them as babies. All 4 are 100% het for albino. I was wondering, if I got these now, could I realistically expect to have a chance for a successful clutch or 2 this breeding season? Also what are the chances that I could actually get an albino? Also if to 100% hets produce normals are they also het for albino? Are there any good sources you would recommend for me to look into/read up on? Also any big tips for a first time breeder? Thanks so much
