    Snapper in the street

I was just driving home a few minutes ago when in the road i see a something big and dark. So I slow down and.... It's a nice big snapping turtle! So naturally i pull over and get out . It's a somewhat heavily traveled street so I picked him up (carefully avoiding the razor sharp claws and chomping beak) and moved him across to where he was headed. A lady stopped in the lane while I was moving him and gave me a look like this haha. Sorry for not having pics, just didn't expect to be herping on my way home so no camera

Thank you for saving the turtle! It's always a good feeling to help keep them safe from a couple tons of steel moving at 60mph.

And yeah, those claws can wreck some havoc, in fact on big snappers I take more precautions against claws than I do against being bit.

Great job... Turtles are everywhere lately (breeding, laying etc). I was so happy to hear that you put her to the side she was headed.
I always tell folks to do that.. Or else the turtle will just cross again
    Great job and great save
    Thanks

Lol if I did that and saw someone give me this look I would probably be laughing. I like it when people make funny faces xD
And that's so nice that you moved the turtle out of the way of traffic. You are pretty much a life-saver :] just like the candies
