    This is true.

    And yes FOWLR tanks are a bit easier because Corals need extra trace elements such as calcium and iodine that you have to add and they're picky about water quality.

    Your tank has a very back case of Cyanobacteria it is that red slime algea stuff on your sand bed...the bast way to remove it is with the halp of herbivores and manual removal...I would go to your LFS and get 1 Blueleg par gal...cyano is not palatable to many harbivores...Very fest growing
    Strong water flow to phyically prevent...Remove by hand or siphon as well..
