    Use hybrid in a Sentence
    –noun
    1. the offspring of two animals or plants of different breeds, varieties, species, or genera, esp. as produced through human manipulation for specific genetic characteristics.

A wolf is a wolf. They're not hybrids..And ferrets are a domesticated version of some form of polecat. Similar to how dogs are the domesticated form of wolves.
Where does hybrid talk about domestication?
If a ferret and a dog are domesticated species, that means they are still the same species that they were originally before domestication.

Wolves and Dogs are the same species, C. lupus, the domestication turns the dogs into subspecies of C. lupus called C. l. familiaris.
Hybridization can only occur between two different species. Dogs do not count and I'm not understanding your point with domesticated ferrets..
