Guy builds up a nice little group and is completely happy with them, see Guy all the time.

Guy starts coming around a little less. Then a little less.

Guy comes in with female human to show her The Snake Store he's always talking about.

Female human smiles, makes nice and leaves without becoming enthusiastic about Guy's friends, scaled or otherwise.

Guy comes in, not as often but still takes good care of his snakes. For about 2 months.

THEN Guy comes in and needs to sell his snakes because he "loves" this female human and wants to spend the rest of forever with her.

Guy is told that this is an oft seen scenario and he should not only think twice buy maybe even three times before getting rid of his snakes. Guy is told that once they come to the store, not only will he have to pay retail WHEN he wants them back, but that it is likely they will be sold before he realizes that he made an error of judgment.

Guy states again his "love'' for female human and sells his snakes.

About 4, sometimes as many as 6, months go by without seeing Guy at all. One day, Guy is back, looking sad and depressed, asking if any of his snakes are still in the store.

Turns out that the "love" of his life also loved the bartender at their favorite bar, the pool boy, the checker at the market, the mechanic, and the really ugly chick who worked at the butcher dept. at the grocery store that Guy no longer goes to.

    Guy should have listened.

Guy and all the other Guys usually disengage all devices that comprehend common sense as well as advice from Men when it pertains to the "loves" of their lives.

We did get some damnfine snakes though.

Take this as a cautionary but VERY true tale.
I believe you should be a poet lol ... nice story though |||back to the thread|||
