Just curious to see if there are any other tri-color owners out there? Most sights I go on I'm lucky to find 1. just curious to see who on here has any.

    Very nice!

I was looking for a tri-color last year and sadly wasn't able to find any available. I wound up with just a normal western, but they are such fun little snakes I am definately keeping my eye out for a tri still.

yeah i went with a normal western too, because i want to work with one of the easier hognoses before moving on to something like that, assuming my wife will let me get a second snake. i love the look of the tricolors though.

i'm seen the for sale on Fauna quite often.

The few I've owned have actually been better feeders than the westerns. Once they get started on pinkies, that is.

I've found they are rather easy to care for myself, atleast this little guy anyways. He was already eating mice when I got him so that made life alot easier and now he'll basicly eat anything that is "meat".

One time while feeding I looked away and he crawled out and tried to eat a f/t rat I had out next to his tub that was suposed to be for my colombian red tail. He was never exposed to rats before but aparently he liked what he smelt because he spend half an hour trying to swallow it arm first. Eventually I carefully cut off the arm he trying so hard to swallow and gave it to him because he just wouldn't let go.

Only other big things with these guys is to make sure they can get humidity but also have a chance to dry out (humidity chamber) and that the temps don't go ovr 84. Very lively an active snakes though.
