If you don't have a spray bottle, try placing a wet towel on top of the cage. Just remember to squeeze it out good enough so that water isn't raining into the cage. This usually gets my humidity to 70-80% and the sheds come off good. As for the shed schedule, all snakes are different Each one sheds at it's own pace.
It is also a good idea to keep accurate and current records to document sheds, feedings, poops etc.. This will give you an idea of when to start expecting a shed. Keeping good records also helps out the vet if the snake gets sick. Hope this helps...
