Hmmm...Why isn't this all over the news?

We have a Burmese Pythons kills a baby in Florida and its all over the news, it gives momentum to bills involving the banning of ALL pythons. Today I find this news story, but yet I personally haven't seen it on the news as of yet, and this poor baby could quite possibly die from these injuries.

because more people own dogs and it is considered "normal" although they are much more dangerous than pythons...the statistics prove it. and it has been proven to me by chiuahuas (sp)
my little cousins have all been biten by the ones my graparents have. they have also all held my bp... she has yet to bite anyone.

I know this is stupid but a lot of people like dogs, but not snakes. They would dismiss it because it is not something that people really freak out about like "Oh my god, a dog can do that to a baby? But then he has never shown any aggression towards anyone so it was just an accident." But when it is a snake, oh man, it is like this" God those stupid people who own snakes!Everyone knows they are venomous, like to bite, and eat little kids, but they still choose to keep them as pets." They are such hypocrites. Dogs do more damage to us than snakes do, but they just don't want to hear the truth.

it's just now hitting the news...give it a day or two, unless another celeb dies.

Dogs are widely accepted, snakes arent. mostly uneducated people jumpin to conclusions when they think of a snake killing someone, they never seem to blame the person keeping the snake, however when a dog almost kills a baby it was just treating it as a puppy? Retarted. I blame the media.

Re: Hmmm...Why isn't this all over the news?

The reason you haven't heard about it is because the dog wasn't a pitbull. You will hear about one python killing a baby in the the last 7 years, but for some reason the hundreds of babies shaken to death by their own parents seems to slip through the cracks.
