1> All time greatest achievement~ Computer/Internet. Very useful for information.
2> 20th Century's greatest achievement~ Personally, I think the phone. Many, many people have phones today and it is indeed very good to have.
3> So far the greatest achievement of 21st Century~ Advanced technology.
4> All time worst achievement~ The creation of nuclear weapons.
5> 20th Century's worst achievement~ War.
6> So far the worst achievement of 21st Century~ Technology that isn't need; the iPhone, more advanced iPods, more touch screen phones, and things such as that.

Even my dad (who is a therapist) was saying how he wanted to go down and offer free therapy because he has experience with post-traumatic stress disorder, he was unable to go for other reasons, but many people did go to help from all over. Unfortunately the government should have put way more money into rebuilding the city than they did... IMHO too much money went to Iraq and not enough to our own country's problems.

I will give you that. There have been a lot of kind acts from tons of people everywhere, but if you go down there today, it still looks very bad. I agree about the government not doing enough. While it seems like people have really stepped up, the reality unfortunately, is that it isn't as glamorous as the news makes it seem. Especially if you visit the surrounding suburbs. It's sad.

Re: Mankind's Acheivements
My statement was not a reflection of my view of Obama, but rather how far we have come in accepting people of all races, etc, that we could elect a minority president. I am white, for what that's worth. But I still am proud of how far this country has come. It has a long way to go.
1) Obama is not a Muslim
2) Even if he was, it wouldnt bother me. This country celebrates freedom of religion (or FROM it lol).
3) I doubt he hates America. I have been accused of the same, though, simply because I am opposed to war, and I don't hate Middle Eastern people. There is room in our great land for all views! I was miserable during the Bush years, and often ashamed, so I can understand how those opposed to Obama may feel now as I did then.
