first time feeding live
ok, so i bought 2 2/m/o BPs from the san diego expo, and they were not accepting my gourmet f/t hoppers... the breeder said they were feeding on live but i lub mice =D! but after 3 failed attempts (im a quitter), i decided to check out a place suggested to me.
so i picked up 2 hoppers, played with them a little bit (so cute) then said my goodbyes and put them next to one of my serpents. sure enough, just as i put it down it was attacked and killed
ditto with the second one.. oh well, it was a successful feed and i wouldnt have had it any other way =D! fare thee well hoppers, ur in a better place now (my 's tummy)
the end

If they only eat live than you should consider starting a mouse trio for breeding, it would be cheaper in the long run but also harder to feed off your babys.
If you breed them its really hard to feed them off but you kinda got to put your feelings on the side and decide what you like more, your snakes or the mouse.

Re: first time feeding live
oh i dont mind, it was a fascinating experience lol. it's like watching discovery channel LIVE in my own room. I dont have the means to breed mice, nor the nose to handle the smell, but I STILL need to find a place way closer. The person i dealed with at the place mentioned suggested that I purchase 10 hoppers to keep overtime and feed them off. Idk how fast mice grow, nor do I know how to properly care for them lol.
Any suggestions? Caresheets?

both pretty helpful little caresheets.
They do stink something awful if you dont keep there enclosures clean, breeding them is incredibly easy.
