Why did the hard work go down with the discovery of the Mystic? I'm confused.

I say it as in ralph put a lot of time and work into the phantom project, he should get a good price on them because he derserves it. With the mystic, which is likely to be the same as a phantom, they put them on the market pretty low in price, which may cause problems for Ralph if he wants a higher price for the phantom.
