So tonight was feeding night for my Ball Python, Nero, and although I had some trouble starting him off, he has eaten voraciously since his first meal and tonight was no different. I have him on a 5 day feeding schedule, so tonight I did everything as typical as always, and opened the tank to feed the F/T mouse.

Now here's where it gets weird, some nights, my Ball Python likes to climb on a flexible branch that spans his cage, and he was sitting on top when I went to put in the mouse. Now before I could even place the mouse on the ground, Nero struck and coiled the mouse, while still tightly grasping onto the branch. Very Green Tree Python-esque, He swallowed the mouse, then moved to his warm hide. Who knows, maybe Nero has a little GTP blood in him .

So does anyone else have these little quirks about their snakes?
