Re: adding a new geckco
Make sure that you quarantine any new gecko for 90 days before introducing it to your current gecko. Also make sure that the new gecko is the same size or very close to it and also a female (even if you do want to breed, females need to be at least one year old and 35+ grams prior to breeding).
Other than that, introducing females is fairly easy and usually doesn't result in too much drama. You may want to clean the tank and rearrange things prior to introducing the new gecko--this will eliminate any favorite spots your gecko has so that she will not be territorial over them. Also make sure both geckos have full stomachs upon introduction so that there will be no need to compete for food for the first few days while they are getting acquainted. Then just supervise things for the first 24-48 hours. Most females of the same size will get along, although there may be a few introductory squeaks and pecks at eachother. Very occasionally two females won't get along (like if you have two very dominate females) and so you will have to separate them as they will continue to bite and fight with each other, but this is not usually the norm.
