Whats your opinion? Is it a pewter?

Looking at a snake someone has advertised as a pewter. What do you all think.

I would say yes, but imho, a pretty poor example of one

EDIT...after looking at some more pewters and then comparing these 2...I would change my answer to no. It is not a pewter.

if it is just a poor example of a pewter would that mean all its offspring would be low grade aswell?

To be fair, those are pre-shed babies - and VERY awesome looking. Here's a pewter closer in size & color to that ad: http://www.vpi.com/sites/vpi.com/fil...w(VPI)001o.jpg

I definitely don't think it's a normal... but if it's a pewter, I'd agree it isn't the best example of one.

Cinnamon changes the 'alien-head' markings. That snake just looks 'jungly'. It looks like an ordinary pastel (definitely not a normal, but not a pewter, either).

Re: Whats your opinion? Is it a pewter?

are there any tell tale signs for a pewter like clear bellys, or a patterned belly, eye colors, something?
