    Yolk Sac question

So today my spider x pastel clutch had one baby hanging out of the egg a little. no big deal. For some reason I decided i needed to examine the little guy closer, well as i got close to it literally squirmed out of his egg as fast as any adult I have. Well it got all but to where its belly button is and just stopped. And the reason it stopped was cuz it had it umbilical cord wrapped around it nearly tied in a knot a large portion of yolk sac still attached, this thing is at least the size of a ping pong ball. Well i got the cord untangled and everything but my question is... now what?

    Re: Yolk Sac question

If he is out of the egg, place in in a container with damp paper towels, he should absorb the yolk, I do hope others with more experience will chime in.

Thats how I have it now, was just kinda curious to others opinions with the yolk sac being as big as it is with this one.

    Re: Yolk Sac question

I prefer to put them right back in the egg. Second choice would be to place in as small a deli cup/container as small possible with small 1/8 inch of water. The idea is to keep sack wet and restrict movement. They absorb yolk quickly once the start breathing air. Good luck.
