As far as needing any kind of license/permit for keeping or breeding animals, those kind of things are usually taken care of at the municipal level, (town/city government) you might want to go to your local city hall and ask them for a copy of their animal ordinances. They might not even have any, but it's always good to ask first.

This is excellent advice, however, let me add this.

If someone wants to know why you want to know, tell them you are researching a future business but do NOT volunteer any information about what you have, where you got it, how big it will get or where you live.

On the off chance that there are regulations pertaining to your keeping of animals in your city/county/state, the less they know about your personally the better.

Don't lie, but don't volunteer anything either.
I may not be very smart, but what if I am?

Totally I already got my male, about 3 or 4 weeks ago.. can't remember lol. He seems really interested in my female, and my female seems really interested in him. She hangs out with him and follows him around it's funny and cute lol.

    Re: Need a license?

    Hey there,

I live in Glendale AZ and I'm sure you don't need any type of license for small breeding projects. The only time you may need a license is if you were selling tons of snakes, which would require you to report for tax.
