Re-do my setup or wait for new BP to eat first?

I've had a baby ball python for about a month now. he has yet to eat.
I need to make the following changes to my setup according to the guides and threads on this site:

    - add a thermostat to control UTH and CHE
    - reduce aspen layer to 1/2" (it's 2" now)
    - add more clutter \ plants

Do you think I should make these changes now or let things be and wait till he eats and then change things? - i didnt know if i should stress the snake now with all these changes.

    thanks!

    Hi,

Remember to double check the temps in the various places with a good reliable digital thermometer - it's not all that common for the thermostat to be adjusted perfectly first time so it usually takes a bit of tweaking.
