    Pastel BP Question

I have a very nice looking normal female that is a pastel sibling. The two pastels from that clutch were both bright yellow, really nice. I may breed the normal female next year, and I'm trying to decide which male to buy. A bright pastel male hatchling from the same breeder/same parents? Would that give me better chances for being able to produce really nice bright babies? Or could I choose any good looking pastel, and have the same odds?

    Re: Pastel BP Question

You could try breeding one of the bright males to her. You may get a better chance of having some bright babies, but if you bred two bright Pastels you'd get a really good chance of some nice bright babies.

    Re: Pastel BP Question

Get any nice pastel male to pair with her. Should work well!

If you want to line breed, then get the pastel from the same parents, but I think playing with a new blood line would be great!

    Re: Pastel BP Question

Brighter parents usually lead to bright babies, but sometimes it doesn't, but with genetics and favorable traits, everyone breeds the bright pastels together to get even brighter pastels, and then you breed the even brighter pastels together to get mega bright pastels, and thus the lineage happens.
