    feeding time?

    any of you think the time of day would make a difference for feeding? im going to go for my first attempt today and i want to have the best odds possible lol. she ate for the breeder, but live rat fuzzies...im doing f/t..

    Yes. Since bp's are nocturnal, it makes more sense to feed them at night when they're more active. Some people don't feed at night, but that's just the way I see it. I normally feed my female around 11 or 12.

    Have you prescented before? That might help. Leave the mouse in an open container near the tank, shut off the lights, and leave the room for 30 minutes.

    Especially. Nothing puts a bp in feeding mode more than a rotting rat corpse.
    It smells warm or not, so you don't need to heat it beforehand.

    I sometimes take a hairdryer and heat up the mouse a little right in front of the snake tubs so it blows smelly mouse air into the tub. That usually gets them ~in the mood~

    I've fed ours at 8pm, 7pm, and 3pm, with no problem.
