    Not eating the FT

The breeder I got my baby RTB from said he was feeding on FT. I've never fed my other snake FT. So I let it thaw out for a few hours and then put it in warm water for a little bit. I then placed it in front of him. No luck yet. Does it take longer than feeding them live?

    Re: Not eating the FT

my RTB will eat quickly regardless if its f/t or live..i just use the hot water from a tap and wait about 5-10min and the rat/mouse is thawed and nice and warm

If you put the feeder rodent in warm water, be sure to dry it off. Your boa may need a few more days to settle in. Most are good feeders. I had my new baby boa skip two meals in a row/he was going through a shed cycle. After he shed he was back on track/eating every 5 days.
