How's their temperment? I've never gotten to experience a gila monster firsthand. Is it safe to assume they're pretty defensive?? I love the pic with the one's mouth open.
They're absolutely gorgeous.

They're absolutely gorgeous.
They are indeed very defensive!!!. They hiss a lot and open their mouth when I approach, some are more agressive than others, just like ball pythons hatchlings. Mark Seward said that when young, they tend to be snappy and agressive but generally become tame as a puppy with age.
