    Re: Odd dark Ball

He is what is called a "dark morph"

They come in from Africa every once and a while as c.h babies and w.c too.
Some lines are genetic, some are not, we sold my rat breeder a female dark morph het pied a few years ago from a line that proved co-dom/dom.
We also sold a dark morph co-dom banded male to a member here too that was from a line that proved out as well.

They are a very cool looking snake, that are quite variable. A ghost should make some crazy combo's with a dark morph... that contrast would be crazy!!

Its a nice snake, we pay $100 for them as babies in Africa so if you can get it for a decent price its a worth while animal, not many around, we have got in about 20 of them over the last 2-3 years and almost all of them are in a prive collection being worked with, so not many see the open market.

    Good luck with him.
    Thanks, Outback Reptiles

I say get him. a dinker project for sure. I usually don't go for the darker morphs, but his reduced pattern got my attention and the overall dark wash is interesting enough.
