    general question on feeding

I have 2 oct 08 hatchlings and I weighed them both at the weekend, one is 290g and the other 207g is this a good weight, they are both on adult mice now and seem to be doing really well, I feed them at the moment once a week is this ok or should they go a bit longer.

I know some people say they should be on rats but I breed my own mice and struggle to get decent rats over here in spain so upto now I have kept all the pythons on mice.

    Re: general question on feeding

They can do just fine on mice if that's the prey that you can get in the best quality where you live. Just adjust the total volume of prey as they mature. Eventually they will eat multiple mice per week but that's just as good as one single rat. In the end it's all about the volume of prey and the quality of that prey that really counts, at least in my opinion.
