We just got our baby pieball two days ago. She's two months old and 103 grams. The breeder was feeding her live baby rats (crawlers, I think). We want to switch her to frozen/thawed. My question regards the timing. I'd like to do it ASAP, but I'm thinking that I should first concentrate on getting her to feed regularly, then try the switch to f/t. Is this sound thinking, or should I just start trying the f/t?
Secondly, I was going to try feeding in 4 or 5 days. But she's bluing. Should I wait for her to complete the shed cycle first? And if so, how long until after she has shed should I wait?
I've read through many threads, but need specific advice.
I've also ordered "The Complete Ball Python" by Kevin McCurley.
Thanks,
Bob
