Has feeding live made your BP agressive?

    Towards you?

No, never. I have never had a snake that eats anything but live, and the idea of keeping dead rodents in my house is really awful to me. That's just my experience.

I feed live also, and my babies are not agressive at all.

Re: Has feeding live made your BP agressive?

Well all I can speak to is my own personal experience feeding 40 snakes every week from a little milksnake all the way up to a 9 foot boa. They all eat live, they all eat live inside their own enclosures. If this made them aggressive towards me then it stands to reason I'd be covered in bites. I'm not and never have gotten more than the occasional tap by a scared baby ball python. My only bite to date from an adult snake was from a terrified and highly defensive rescue (nothing at all to do with how or where she ate).

Nope. I've actually had more near-misses while feeding F/T--one of my babies always comes out of the tub and seems to like focusing on my hand if the rat isn't RIGHT THERE in her nose. But I have no problems outside of feeding time.

LOL! And dang, it hurts more to get bitten by the mouse/rat than by the snake.

Re: Has feeding live made your BP agressive?

All of my snakes are generally very docile. I say generally, because they are snakes, and because they are snakes, I never forget that they could bite. However, I can say that I can't remember the last time any of them attempted to. I feed live exclusively to about 40 snakes, all in their own enclosures.
