What to make of this guy?|

I got this guy as a ch last year. I held him back for 2 reasons. 1 he was very orange and bright compared to the rest and had granite markings, 2 he was the worst feeder. This is why he is quite small for a year old, thge first half of his life he spent loosing weight, almost died. Now he eats great and has grow alot in just a few months. Anyways besides his feeding issues I find I am quite confused by his coloration. He seems like a pastel but at the same time he does not. His orange is gone but his yellow keeps getting brighter. My other norms get less yellow with age. He does not have a clear belly but the black in it is faded. He has green eyes but they are dark. he also has that jungle like pattern that lot of pastels have. I plan to breed him to a norm to see if his traits are carried on. The norm he is pictured with will prob be the one too since she is quite plain and always has been,any bright babies should be his influence.

Not sure. If his eye is green he could be a dark pastel. If you think he's something special, keep raising him and breed it out.

Good of you to keep him going, sometimes poor feeders turn into nice snakes.

His belly isn't clear enough to be a pastel. Just have fun dinking with him!
