Humidity guage / sensor / montor

I need a humidity spot checker like my temp gun. Is there anything like this or should I just get an accurite and use that to check the humidity in my rack / room / tubs?

It's not a waste or anything since I'll have to get one for my incubator soon enough.

Hygrometers need to be in direct contact with the air sample to measure humidity if I'm not mistaken. So, a device similar to a temp gun would be impossible. But, I may be all wrong.

I would go with the Accurite even if I'm wrong.
