    Re: Anybody play the didge?

My brother did a study-abroad in aussieland, I went and visited after his term was up and we took a few weeks and did the tourist thing as a present from the parents. In return my mom asked that we pick up a didgeridoo for her, which we did Mine's a knockoff made from some kind of hardwood in the US, but I still love it.

    Re: Anybody play the didge?

Didgeridoo has been proven to help sleep apnea. It strengthens one of the muscles in the throat; the name of which escapes me right now.

I like some of the European contemporary styles because the rhythms are so fast and dynamic.

I also love the traditional styles for their earthy tones and more systematic rhythms. Its on my bucket list to go to Australia and learn the trad styles directly from the source one day.

Two of my favorite contemporary players

I was wondering what that thing was called. Thanks Pat!

I agree it really goes well with the didge. Have you also checked out an instrument called the Hang Drum? Its pretty sweet as well.
