Thanks! She's probably between 3-4 years old, but I'd have to ask her breeder to know for sure. So, you think she's a little on the chubby side? I thought the general "rule" was about 500g per foot, so I was actually thinking the opposite. She's only eaten one meal since arriving, of 3 adult mice since they were out of small rats... next week I'll find a rat, and try to get her on a regular schedule/prey. She was living in a breeding rack until now, so hopefully she'll get more svelte with a little exercise. She is a FEISTY one, and has no qualms about cruising around the floor!

Re: Mona the monster...
P.S. That weight was taken 2 days after the meal, so she was a bit full...

Sure hatchlings are cute, and sub-adults and 3-4 year olds are cool, but it's the thick bodied ones that put a little strain on your arm when you hold them that I <3. By that time they're so much friendlier too, no? Or is that just my personal experience? Either way, I love your girl!
Mona says thank you! I don't have much experience with adults, so to be honest I was a bit intimidated at first. I opened the bag when she arrived, and this GIANT snake popped out like "watch out lady, here I come...." LOL. She is definitely a friendly girl, though, and I quickly realized she is completely harmless. I also learned quickly how to hold her, since she squeezes fast if you put her around your neck or arm - works much better to fling her over the shoulder (while supporting the head) like a purse. I haven't handled her too much at this point, but so far I agree the big ones are fun.
Speaking of heavy-bodied snakes, you reminded me of my first time buying one (Delilah). I was looking at Rosy Boas and Corns, then my eyes widened when they brought out a BP... I kept going back & forth, until the owner finally said "I can read people well after all these years, and I knew you'd like a heavy-bodied herp - get a Ball Python." He was right!

LOL... yes, she certainly does! The breeder told me she's an aggressive eater, although somewhat shy about it (doesn't like to be watched). We gave her 3 adult mice last Saturday, and she took them down like they were appetizers.

Man my biggest female doesnt like to be watched either. I did the zombie dance for her on monday and she wanted nothing to do with it. She was hungry though, but didnt feel like eating from my hands was necessary. I put the ASF 6 inches away from her and as I was sliding the tub in she had him coiled.
