Arrow Im moving, shedding problems for adopted python and more

Hello everyone. I currently live in Newark NJ, And I'm moving in the beginning of august to belvidere NJ.

    http://www.mapquest.com/maps?1c=Newa...&2g=-75.078102

it says its an hour and someodd minutes, but i say it will take me an hour and a half to get there. Now i need to transport 6 animals. I need to take a 5.5 foot female ball python, A 2ft female and a 2.3ft female. A kind snake ( really small lol) a beardie, and an american bull frog ( just turned into a frog. Now the only items i have now are a couple of pillow cases, a solid steel 4x4 box (dont know lol) and a small critter keeper. How would I get all of them to my new house safe and unharmed? Also, I need to take 5 fish tanks..i have never needed to take them anywhere so if anyone knows how i should take them without the tanks breaking and the animals getting harmed, let me know please.

Now for the shedding. I rescued a 5.5ft female ball that was in blue when i first got her. when she shed ( about a week later ) it came off in pieces.. not that bad to the extent that i had to soak her and help her get it off ( i know its not a good idea but I'm careful with my actions ) now, the owner ( add on craigslist and he answered and gave me her for free with her 20 g tank ) said she eats 3 mice in a meal. The first time i fed her she ate 4 mice and was still looking for more food, so i said f that and gave her a nice rat that she got down good. so after the 3 mice and the rat.. she went into blue ..AGAIN! in about a month. anyone know if this is just because of the larger meal? now, her first shed was crappy. so anyways i help her to make sure her sheds start to come out like my other snakes shed ( in one long piece ) shes on newspaper for now until i move. I keep the humidity at 60-70 . Ill update you all when she gets her shed off this time to see if it comes out in pieces but i think it will. Now im going to shut up because i keep going on and on and probably sound stupid. lol.

Here are some pics. Don't tell me that the tank she is in is not good because thats just the feeding tank with a towel and a water bowl ( towel to soak up urine from the mouse/rat

this is the tank she's in

I know the tank looks small but its a 20gl long its just the box she's using as a hide is big

and this is a video of all three of my ball pythons

medusa is the first put down diabla the second, and hades *the one with probs shedding) is the third

YouTube - Request 3 Ball Pythons

(I also don't know if anyone is a het for anything as they we all rescued except medusa she was brought for 15 bucks at hamburg09. Anyone have any clues?)

    Help me please?

I would just go and get some cheap pillowcases and transport them that way.

I don't use tanks so I can't really help you on that one. Have you ever thought of switching to a tub/rack system? It is much easier to maintain a large number of snakes this way.

Snakes can shed for a number of reasons, growing, stress, or an unusually big meal. Nothing to worry about I would say.

You can't tell if a BP is het for anything unless you have records of its genetics from the breeder. Or you could prove out a gene by breeding them.

Yeah just put them in pillow cases I drove from plainfeild to wilmington with my snakes in pillow cases. in the dragon i am not sure but you might want to get it a showbox container from a dollar store.

Shed... when its shed time fold up about 2 layers of paper towels in the hides and spay them down... but i would consider switching to tubs alway 100percent better and more cost effective.

A little container, tubaware can be used for the frog, just poke some holes in it, or melt them in it with a needle.

Pillow cases can be used for your snakes, and that kritter keeper if big enough can be used for the bearded.

The 20 gal tank you say that ball python is in, is way to small btw. I have my 2 1/2 ft, almost 3 foot anaconda in a 30 gal long, and I will have to get her a bigger tank come november. She is about as long as the tank. So I know that 20 gal tank can't be big enough, but i'm sure you'll fix that with time.

All you can do is purchase a few pillow cases for the snakes, put some water in the critter keeper and put your bull frog in it, and put the Bearded dragon in the steal box (make sure it has holes Dx). To carry the tanks, if you have a back seat in your car or a trunk you can put them in the trunk or the back seat if there is enough room. And to carry the supplies you should just keep the supplies in the tanks (hides, water dishes, decor plants, etc.).

When your snake shedded in pieces that was probably because it was stressed out since it was new to your home. The next shed probably won't be bad and come out in pieces, depending if the snake is stressed or not.

Since your snake had a large meal, it went into shed. Most snakes do this when they have a large meal. My BP, Candice, did this when I fed her two large f/t mice instead of the usual one large f/t mouse. Since the 3 mice didn't seem to fill her up, I think you should begin to feed her rats because a snake that is 5.5 feet needs a meal such as a good sized rat (depending on the size of the middle part of the snake's body).
