    How much does he weigh?
How much did the prey weigh and how often do you feed?
    What's your husbandry like?

Just trying to cover all the bases. And, if you have a pic of your setup, that'd be great.

How big of a mouse did you feed him? If it was small he probably was hungry for more. Did you just purchase him? Usually new snakes tend to be a little nervous when someone passes by their enclosure.

    X2

When I got mine he would strike at people walking by, never in the tank but when he was on the bed. A week or so of sitting in the tank and cautious handling and he was just fine. Other than that if he is going into shed he may be striking at movement?

Snakes that are underfed, and then finally get a taste of rodent, will strike out at anything. Assuming correct husbandry, this would be my first guess. Try tossing in another mouse and you will know right away.
