I would say wait till the first one pips. Usually when one pips the rest are ready as well. And I think that for a hatchling to not have that tooth is somewhat rare. Actually i'm curious as to how often breeders have to cut a baby out because they see them struggling against the egg because of no tooth. I might have to start a poll on that. I watched a vid on youtube about Jay at prehistoric pets. We all know he has been breeding a long time. He claims his 100% hatch rate is due to slicing. He actually slices and then pulls the head out(so they don't drown). If you watch his vids on slicing a clutch he does this all the time and he's definately not a hit and miss breeder.
