It's up to you, if you know what you are doing go ahead and cut.

I'd say no. You've waited 55 days already, another couple of days of waiting isn't going to hurt you. I think it's more exciting to watch them emerge themselves than cutting them open ahead of time (unless you suspect problems with the soon-to-be hatchlings). They'll be fine if you do decide to cut, though. Is this your first clutch?

Re: poll:Should i slice em
Last year was our first breeding season and we were told to wait and let them emerge on their own. I lost 2 pastels that couldn't cut out cause they didn't have the cut tooth and we didn't slice the eggs. We decided we will cut for now on. I wait till day 58 and slice each egg. We haven't lost no more due to that. But it's your decision. As long as you are comfortable to do it then it's okay. Good Luck...

Re: poll:Should i slice em
Thanks for the responses. The only reason i would slice them is fear of them not being able to. I think i'll wait a couple more days and see what happens. I'll keep you updated. Thanks again

Re: poll:Should i slice em
I would say wait till the first one pips. Usually when one pips the rest are ready as well. And I think that for a hatchling to not have that tooth is somewhat rare. Actually i'm curious as to how often breeders have to cut a baby out because they see them struggling against the egg because of no tooth. I might have to start a poll on that. Good luck with your babies

Re: poll:Should i slice em
congratulation on your clutch. I know it is exciting. Last year was my first clutch. I cut them last year, but they hatched on their own this year. I said no, but it is up to you. Good luck!! Oh and don't forget the photos

Re: poll:Should i slice em
I'd wait til one pips, then cut all of em and let them come out the egg on their own.
