So anyways, my mother knows I like snakes, so she went and got a ball python from some a local petstore and put it in my house before I got home(30 minutes later). She purchased a kritter keeper and it had aspen in it, so when I got home to check the snake out... IT HAD MITES, so anyways she put the kritter keeper by my other tanks, and I instantly removed the snake from my room with my other 2 snakes. I checked my anaconda tank and her it was clean, I would quarantine it but I fed her earlier today, plus her tanks near my bed which is on a dresser, the other snake my rufous beaked snake is on a little stand, and she put the kritter keeper on top of my tank that my rufous was in, so I checked that tank, shuffled through everything, it was clean, I picked up my little guy and looked under at his ventral scales and sure enough, seen a few mites.. I dumped the whole tank out, took the 2 hides, the tank, the top, and the water bowl and I bleached them like 3 times, and even after that I sprayed the tank, hides & water bowl with reptile relief. Then I put fresh bedding and sorted out the tank, in the mean time I had my rufous beaked snake in a different kritter keeper, in a different room. His eyes are clouded over, which I seemingly didn't notice, so instead of spraying the reptile relief on him, I got a paper towel, sprayed it on there, then rubbed him down, rinsed him off in luke warm water, then repeated the process. I went over him with a mag glass and a LED light and he's clean, I still have them in seperate rooms till I can monitor closely the next few days.

The ball python is bad off, I treated him but he will need multiple treatments, over the next week or so. In the meantime my cousin has the ball python taking care of it, because I don't have anywheres else to quarantine them.

So guys/gals be careful when bringing home a new snake.
