I say: Go for it! But learn, learn, learn and make sure you have some money set aside for possible vet visits, meds, etc.
It sounds like you a responsible person, so it does not matter how old IMHO. As long as you are willing to put in the time, you are passionate about the animals, and you can afford to give them great care, then I see no reason why you shouldn't breed.
