He ended up getting some in his mouth at the end of the mouse...luckly I got it out.
It doesn't matter if they ingest a little substrate. They can digest bone and hair, a bit of wood won't matter.
One of my pastel males is really shy, and even with hides in the tank he would still pace all day long. I took newspaper and covered the sides of the terrarium, which finally calmed him down and got him to eat.
It is quite possible that your computer is bothering him. Vibrations from the unit along with the activity of you being there could be enough to stress him out. BPs are sensitve snakes and it doesn't take much to upset them. I'd set him up in a tub like others have suggested and see if that helps.
He didn't swallow it though, it was sitting in his mouth. I didn't want to chance it getting stuck into his mouth skins
Well, if they have mouse claws going through there, it shouldn't matter if there is a bit of substrate. They will either spit it out or just swallow it. No big
