Some people just want to stick close by the show (the hotel that is being offered). I was thinking Lamp Light District.
But I haven't had much time to do much in terms of planning.

Another option that was mentioned was Karl Strauss Brewery, 1157 Columbia Street, which is about 5-6 blocks away from the show. I think it's a bit more expensive than the other, but there isn't anything in downtown/Gas Lamp that is cheap, and someone mentioned that their beer sampler is a good deal.
