Good to see him eating but I would try to get him on the F/T mice. I have no issues with live prey but whenever he goes onto adult mice there's always the danger of him accepting nothing but live prey. Live adult mice can give your King a nasty bite, especially if your King shows no interest in the mouse and the mouse decides to get a little ballsy.

Also you can give a live mouse, just do what I do. I normally pluck mine to kill it or knock it out for a few moments while my Anaconda seizes it. I only do that because I don't think my roommate is too found of me having mice in the freezer.

I'm glad he has a great feeding response. BTW those are fuzzies, not pinkies. lol. My rufous when I was feeding him, I put 2-3 pinkies in his enclosure and he eats them, but once he went to swallow one and had a piece of the aspen with the pinkie, so I tried to reach in to get ahold of the piece of wood to pull it out, and that little booger went down into one of his burrows like I was going to try to steal his food, greedy little thing.

Ya, thats in the plans I just wanted to get him on a good routine before I switched him over

LOL well whenever I ask for pinkies, thats what I get So I just assumed hehe.

He/she will let me completely mess with his enclosure while coiling & eating and could care less.. with the exception if his mouth isnt full and its feeding time, then I am also on the menu.
