Stickies and DIY

I have been noticing this a lot lately. New people join and their questions could be easily answered by checking the stickies, the problem is though,

The stickies are scattered throughout the forum.

I know there is already a sticky forum, but this contains mostly information on how to use the site and tutorials for polls, posting pictures, and TOS.

I know that if you click the "caresheets" link on the left hand navigation bar, it takes you to a few great resources. I wish we could use these more. It looks like they haven't been updated in quite a while.

There are some WONDERFUL threads on this site, stickies and non stickies, that I think should be included in these pages to help new keepers out a bit. I would really like to be able to refer people to one great page with a wealth of information for them to immerse themselves into for days

I would be more than willing to help organize threads around and make this page a little more helpful and prominent!

So...does anyone else think this is a good idea?

i kno ive asked questions that i later found the answer to in a sticky lol. thats y im constantly roaming this site, soaking up info from each sticky. but ya, it woulda bee nice to see the allin one spot. kinda like a FAQ format, which would have stickies instead of FAQs

I was thinking about a similar thing today. As much as we all love repeating the same things over and over haha, this could be good. I was considering making a thread titled "Every useful link I've used in caring for a ball python." Unfortunately, I think it would get too big too fast, and end up being a huge chore to read.

Which is what I have seen already happen in some of the forums such as DIY and BP husbandry. :/

I like having all the sticking at the top of each forum, but I think they should all be posted in one organized place and sorted based on topic.

Thats a great idea. I like mrshawts idea to have a useful link thread, and I already have a list ready if that pops up on the homepage =]

??? The forums are broken up into Different categories then different sub categories and within those sub categories the stickies are all posted at the top of the page..... Its easier than one big page of stickies and having to find the one you need...

Yes but as I pointed out, there are useful pages when you click the caresheets link that are not found on the forums and vice versa. I am not saying get rid of all of the stickies on top of every page. But it would be nice to have one organized resource, like the caresheets page, where we would be able to find lots of useful articles. Right now there are only a handful there.
