    Am I just being paranoid?

Ok, so I just had fed the first of two small rats to my bp (maybe 20 minutes before this). I opened up the tank again for the second one. Only I heard her breathing and it sounded a little wheezy. She stopped soon after that and took the second rat.

I won't be able to check her out for a couple days since she just ate. I'm hoping it's not an RI. She was just checked by a vet a week or two ago and got a clean bill of health. My humidity in the tank is a little high (usually in the 60s). Could that humidity cause an RI? Or was this something caused by her first meal?

    Thanks.

Also, is it normal for them to bring their prey into their hides to swallow? I used to feed in a separate enclosure, so I've never seen this before.
I can hear her moving her hide around while she swallows haha. I hope it's a good thing.

Re: Am I just being paranoid?

I think you might have just startled her when you opened up the tank. They do that some time, start breathing really heavily when something big lingers over their house.
Keep an eye (ear?) on it and if you notice it happening more often then see a vet. I don't think it is anything to worry about at this point though.

As for swallowing, sometimes I will have a couple friends over to watch the snakes eat and they will do exactly that. Then all my friends are bummed out because my snakes are so secretive. LOL

Re: Am I just being paranoid?

Is it ok to have the humidity 60-70% constantly? I'm debating removing the rest of the foil top on my screen.

Re: Am I just being paranoid?

I would say it is fine. 50-60% is normal and then 70% during a shed. I think it would be a problem if it was above 90% consistently.
